Hospital holds first Kidney Day program

KPJ Sabah Specialist Hospital held its first Kidney Day

KOTA KINABALU: KPJ Sabah Specialist Hospital held its first Kidney Day yesterday in conjunction with the 12th World Kidney Day 2017. The event, which was held at the hospital in Damai here, was to promote a healthy lifestyle and kidney health awareness among the public.

Various booths related to kidneys, were open at the hospital lobby, including a kidney corner, anaemia, dietary for renal failure patients and health executive screening. A Zumba exercise session took place in the morning while lucky draws and a question and answer session were also included during the event.

For patients with kidney failure, a special offer for a renal screening at RM40 was offered during the event, yesterday. The World Kidney Day is an annual event held since 2006, and the theme for this year was Kidney Disease and Obesity'. - Borneo Post
