Siti Sa'diah's leadership has seen KPJ become one of the Malaysia's major home grown healthcare groups.
With more than RM1.1 billion in assets and shareholders' funds in excess of RM508.9 million, she has also helped put the nation on the world map as the preferred health care service destination.
"In KPJ, we started our business from a zero base 28 years ago. It took us 27 years to reach our first RM1 billion revenue and RM100 million pre-tax profit," she told reporters after the announcement on her success.
 
Also present were Datuk Azman Mohd Zain, the chief judge, who is also the Managing Director of Deloitte Consulting and Datuk Anthony Bujang, the Chief Executive Officer of the New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd.
 
KPJ, the healthcare arm of Johor Corporation, is one of the leading private healthcare providers in the region with a network of 22 hospitals in Malaysia and two in Indonesia.
 
Siti Sa'diah said KPJ aims to achieve RM2 billion revenue over the next two to three years from the RM1.4 billion currently, adding that, the company is also looking at opportunities in the Middle East and Indo-China.
 
She also disclosed that KPJ is planning to add two hospitals annually to its network.
From a country perspective, Siti Sa'diah said KPJ is planning to work with private hospitals to make Malaysia the healthcare hub of the world or Asia.
 
With Malaysia's move towards establishing the Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC) last year, Siti Sa'diah believes the country is serious in promoting and developing the health tourism industry.
 
Meanwhile, Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd was named the winner of the "Corporate Nationhood Initiative Award". The award was received by its Managing Director, Tan Sri Bashir Ahmad Abdul Majid.
 
Introduced this year, the award aims to recognise an outstanding corporation for its effort in promoting national harmony and nationhood, in line with 1Malaysia.
 
The CEO Award ceremony is organised jointly by Business Times and Maybank.It seeks to recognise leadership excellence among the top corporate figures of Malaysia.
