MID honors top corporate leaders

KUALA LUMPLJR: Leading corporate captains were feted with the Innovative Leadership in Globalisation award from Malaysian Institute of Directors (MID), in recognition of their innovative business endeavours globally. The awardees consist of the corporate leaders from a variety of sectors, including airlines, automotive, banking and finance, diversified ventures, education and healthcare. The award was presentedby Prime Minister Datuk Sen Mohd Najib Tun Razak, who was also inducted as the Honorary Fellow of MID for his innovative, and transformational leadership. "They have built Malaysia’s niche in the world market. The global market is a ruthless territory where only the fittest survive. Many Malaysian companies do battle everyday to market their goods and services. All these require a rare kind of agility to stay in the competition. MID pays tribute to the top corporate leaders who possess the repository ofknowledge wherein lies the true wealth of the nation," remarked Tan Sri Datuic Sen Dr Lim Kok Wing, president of MID. The 2011 recipients were Malaysia Airlines, AirAsia, Proton, Perodua, Felda Global Ventures, Maybank, Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, SP Setia, Top Glove Corporation, ProGuard Technologies, KPJ Healthcare, Malaysia Airports, Eversendai, Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts, Boxiia Corporation, Secret Recipe Cakes & Caf, and Centre for Content Creation.
