KPJ Records Higher Q2 Pre-tax Profit Of RM45.2 Million

KPJ Healthcare Bhd (KPJ) has recorded a higher pre-tax profit of RM45.2 million for its second quarter ended June 30, 2011, compared with RM41.3 million in the same quarter last year.

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 19 (Bernama)-- KPJ Healthcare Bhd (KPJ) has recorded a higher pre-tax profit of RM45.2 million for its second quarter ended June 30, 2011, compared with RM41.3 million in the same quarter last year.

Revenue also rose to RM470.9 million from RM410.2 million in the previous corresponding quarter.

In a filling to Bursa Malaysia today, the company said the increased profit before tax is mainly attributed to an increase in revenue of the hospitals.

For its cumulative period ended June 30, 2011, the company also registered a higher pre-tax profit of RM86.8 million, compared to RM79.3 million recorded in the previous corresponding period ended June 30, 2010.

At the same time, revenue also rose to RM908.6 million from RM786.3 million previously.
