JOHOR BARU Nine babies, including a pair of twins, were born at the KPJ Johor Specialist Hospital on Nov 11.
Jagjit Singh, 44, and his wife, Sukhjit Kaur, 32, said they were thankful that after waiting for six years after their first child, they now had twins a boy and a girl weighing 2.3kg and 2.6kg, respectively. Sukhjit had opted for a Caesarean delivery.
"The twins are God’s gift because they came on this special day and we got a boy and a girl at the same time," she said.
KPJ Johor executive director and chief executive officer Norita Ahmad said five of the babies were girls and four were boys, and weighed between 2.3kg and 3.25kg.
The babies are in good health. the first delivery was recorded at 1.43am. The babies were delivered by our specialists Dr Mohd Hafetz Ahmad, Dr Mohanraj Krishnasamy and Dr Mohd Khaidir Mat Ark," she added.
