KPJ Healthcare Berhad’s senior group general manager Abdol Wahab Baba said this RM2 million marvel offered faster image acquisition, better image quality, and higher accuracy rate when compared to the older version.

"Since taking over Sibu Specialist Medical Centre, KPJ has also invested in a modern mammogram equipment, stress test machine, and a 3D ultrasound gadget valued at RM563,000," he said at the official launching of the CT Scan by Second Minister of Finance Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh here yesterday.

Also present were KPJ Sibu Specialist Medical centre’s medical director Dr Wong Chya Wei, senior manager Mohamad Hafiz Zaini, director Dr Sengkathir Subramaniam, and director of KPJ Love Care Centre Dr Henry Toh Yew King.

Abdol said KPJ Sibu Specialist Medical Centre was the 21st hospital under the flagship of KPJ Healthcare Berhad.

The hospital was acquired early this year, he said, adding that currently the hospital had 35 beds, nine resident consultants, and 11 visiting consultants.

As of today, KPJ Healthcare Bhd boasts 24 hospitals in Malaysia and two in Indonesia.

On quality standards, Abdol said KPJ had been striving for international standards in its various sections over the years.
