EMPLOYEES of KPJ Ipoh Specialist Hospital took time off to welcome the Year of the Water Dragon recently.

EMPLOYEES of KPJ Ipoh Specialist Hospital took time off to welcome the Year of the Water Dragon recently. Management staff, consultants, nurses and those from other departments were seen mingling happily with each other at the get together which included a umptuous buffet for guests. Organising committee chairman Dr Luis Chen urged them to take note of the special characteristics of the water dragon. "It is going to be a period full of uncertainties. It can be either good or very bad. "Hence, everybody should grab whatever opportunities are and not procrastinate. "Go home and tell your love ones that you love them. As for consultants and doctors, cure your patients today instead of waiting for tomorrow," he said to loud applause. The hospital’s medical director Datuk Dr Fadzli Cheah Abdullah urged the staff members to go all out to make everybody proud of KPJ Ipoh Specialist Hospital. "Despite having more than 2O0 hospital beds, we are constantly full. This shows the confidence and satisfaction that the general public has in us. "However, we must not rest on our laurels and strive harder to excel," he said. The hospital’s chief executive officer Mohd Nasir Mohamed was also present. There was tossing of yee sang, followed by the handing out ang pow to all present. Hampers were given to the respective departments based on their performance. There was live music by three-piece band and sketches by employees.
