KPJ eyes higher medical tourism revenue

The company earlier indicated that it plans to invest RM120 million in the physical expansion of its education facilities, in order to grow the segment’s annual revenue to RM100 million from RM30 million in 2010.

The company has shown consistent growth in earnings, both net profit and revenue have Increased In each of the five years leading to 2010.

For the first nine months of 2011, net profit rose 6% to RM92.2 million from RM86.6 million in the previous year.

Revenue improved 13% to RM1.38 billion from RM1.22 billion. The company is due to release its full-year results soon.

Sa’adish said KPJ’s performance in 2011 was consistent with the growth achieved in previous years and met the company’s target four the next year.
