More new courses at Puteri Nursing College

As the nation's hospitals face increasing demands to participate in a wide range of quality improvement activities

According to the ViceChancellorcumDean of Behavioural Sciences and Humanities Professor Dr Durrishah
Idrus, this course intends to cater to the needs of students through assessment by providing worthy preuniversity education that prepares the students to meet the demands of undergraduate study.

"We welcome applications from interested students. "Within a year of study we aim to prepare students with leadership qualities, poise personality and exposure to real clinical experiences before they embark to the tertiary level of studies," she said.

"Students who wish to study at KPJUC must obtain excellent SPM results and have passion towards healthcare education. Academically, student must possess five credits in SPM including Mathematics and Science and pass in Bahasa Melayu and English or five '0' level credits.

For those with equivalent qualification, the University Senate will deliberate further and approve the application.

"Those who want to study pharmacy must have five credits in SPM with minimum B in Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics," she added.

Exposures to real hospital environment at KPJ's network of hospitals allow students studying at the University College to experience a comprehensive study with excellent facilities under a dedicated team of lecturers.

This is complemented by a strong team of experts comprising Medical Consultants, Senior Nurses, Allied
Health professionals and trained Clinical Instructors.

KPJ Healthcare University College also emphasises that students obtain a complete education within the 12 months timeframe.

"Upon completion of the course, students can pursue various tertiary academic disciplines available. University is about choice. "By next year, there will be more Bachelor degree courses for student to
choose from," she added.

KPJ Healthcare University College under its education expansion plan expects to offer 30 new bachelors and master's degree as well as doctorate programmes at the main campus in Nilai.
