With a vast demand for professional and certified healthcare practitioners, KPJUC knew the importance of expanding its programme by offering Professional Certificate in Critical Care Nursing, thus creating a pathway for nurses who are interested in furthering their studies.

The Professional Certificate in Critical Care Nursing programme under School of Nursing assists to develop comprehensive knowledge, technical skills and the ability to competently care for patients with lifethreatening problems or the potential to develop such problems.

The programme also prepares graduates to practice within the dynamic and complex nursing and healthcare systems as well as avail themselves to opportunities for career flexibility and advancement.

Students will achieve a variety of clinical competence and confidence to care for patients who are critically ill and also develop leadership skills in critical care settings.

This will enable them to reflect on their development as a critical care nurse.

Concurrent with KPJUC's philosophy towards a healthy and informed society
through integration of health education research and comprehensive healthcare, this programme is open to registered nurses, with one year working experience or with three months experience in the related field.

Throughout the duration of six months, the curriculum will provide hands on learning via students' centred lectures, practical sessions, as well as presentation of case studies.

The full time programme's fee is RM12.000 and accommodation will be
provided. The intake is only once a year.
