Ultrasound technology allows mother and child to bond better, even before birth, writes Rozana Sani

Khamis and her husband Fadhli Kushairi couldn’t agree. The couple, who is expecting their second son, lost their first shortly after birth.
“This time around, we are being more careful,” says Norhalinawati. “I want to know how he looks, how he is doing and to keep a close eye on his progress. And I believe Dr Sharifah’s expertise and this new ultrasound scanning technology can help us do this,” she says, squeezing Fadhli’s hand as they wait for the doctor to call them in.
