Exciting day for children

Hospital treats paediatric patients and kids to a funfilled day.

JOHOR BARU: A private hospital treated some 250 children to an array of programmes during the school holidays. The event, themed "School Holiday Fiesta Here We Have fun", was aimed at providing the children, aged four to 12, recreational activities.

KPJ Johor Specialist Hospital executive director and chief nurse Norita Ahmad said that the programme involved not only warded patients and outpatient, but also the
public.

"Among the activities include booths selling clothes, food and beverages, including a book shop selling many types of books for the children.

"For children warded at the hospital who were not able to join in the programme, we had special mascots, clowns and representatives from the Angry Bird Theme Park going around to cheer them up," she said.

She added that the programme was part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative to give back to the community.

Among the activities included coloring contest, costume contest, clown performances,
chicken dance, musical performances, birth celebrations, and also a special appearances by animation characters from Angry Bird Theme Park.
